Presently serving as Ashton's lighter sandblast (granted, not saying much there when the Pebble Grain is your comparison), the Old Church finish produces a wonderfully natural tone and texture, as seen on this half-bent billiard sporting a conspicuously forward-thrust to its transition. Generous of chamber, easy in hand, a delight to the touch, and offering a great view of the rim, this is an excellent briar in the traditional English style.
